Inclusion Standards

21Blog lists independent blogs that are still updating, helping readers find writers worth following. Every entry is opened and checked by a human; no paid placement.

What We List

  • Blogs maintained by individuals or small teams, mostly original writing
  • Openly accessible, no login required
  • An RSS / Atom / JSON feed is a plus — blogs without one are still listed, but ranked after those with feeds
  • Primarily Chinese; bilingual Chinese-English is fine

What We Don’t List

  • Pure marketing sites, corporate blog columns, sponsored-content farms
  • Content farms that mostly scrape, repost, or mass-generate with AI
  • Long-dormant blogs with no note — after 12 months without updates a blog is marked “dormant” and returns to the list automatically once it updates; we don’t delete them
  • Illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content
  • Duplicate submissions (same blog with different parameters or mirror domains)

Who Can Submit

  • You can submit your own blog or recommend someone else’s
  • Tell us why; review looks only at content and update cadence — not pedigree, not traffic

How Review Works

  • Submissions enter a human queue — we open the link and read the actual pages and recent posts
  • Approved: the entry goes live and you get an email; blogs with feeds show recent updates
  • Not approved: the email explains why; adjust per the standards and resubmit (please wait 7 days for the same URL)
  • Payment cannot change the outcome, and there is no “expedited review” for sale

About RSS and “Recently Updated”

We read each feed once a day, taking only post titles, links, and timestamps — never full content. The “updated” date in listings comes from the feed; for blogs without one it’s filled in by hand and may lag.

If You Don’t Want to Be Listed

Authors can ask to have their blog removed at any time, no reason needed — we handle it within 7 days and never relist it. You can also just ask us to stop reading your RSS. SeeTakedown & Correction.

A Note

Inclusion is not an endorsement of a blog’s views; each site’s content is its author’s responsibility. We show only the name, link, a small homepage screenshot, post titles, and our own one-line description — never full articles. Screenshots refresh at most once a month, exist only to help readers recognize the site, and are not downloadable; authors who’d rather not show one can tell us and we’ll remove the image but keep the entry.
