Privacy
21Blog is a directory of independent Chinese blogs. Browsing needs no account. We use essential language preference and admin session cookies, with no third-party tracking scripts.
What We Collect
When you submit a blog or report a link problem:
- The contact email supplied with a blog submission — used to tell you the review result. Link reports do not require an email.
- The blog URL, recommendation, or link problem details you provide — used for review, corrections, and deduplication
- An irreversible hash of your IP address — for form abuse prevention. We never store the raw IP
When browsing, your language preference is saved in a cookie and your theme in local browser storage. Administrators also use essential session cookies.
How Long We Keep It
- Approved submissions: contact email deleted 180 days after processing
- Rejected submissions: contact email deleted after 90 days
- IP hashes: 90 days
- Server access logs: at most 7 days, with no full IP addresses
After deleting your email, we retain the blog URL and decision to avoid duplicate submissions. Delivered email tasks are deleted immediately; failed email tasks retain addresses for at most 30 days.
What We Don’t Do
- We do not sell or trade your information. Contact emails are shared with our email service only to deliver submission notifications.
- We never email you anything other than review notifications (no newsletter, no mailing list)
- We don’t collect sensitive personal information; this site is not intended for users under 14
Where Data Lives
This site and its database are hosted outside mainland China. Submitting the form means you understand this.
Your Rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete any information we hold about you, at any time. Email [email protected]and we’ll respond within 7 days.
If you’re the author of a listed blog and want your entry removed, see Takedown & Correction— no reason needed.
